I'm looking for information on a sponson Old Town which I believe is #162061.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 162061 is a 17 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Otca model with a keel, and sponsons. It was built between July and September, 1954. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on September 24th, 1954 to Lake Wales, Florida. There was damaged in shipment and it returned on November 5th, 1954. The repairs required refinishing for a total of $40 as shown on the back side of the card. It was then resold and shipped to Salisbury, Maryland on January 25th, 1955. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
