I'm just down the road from you in Harvard. Tell us a bit about yourself, how'd you get interested, do you have any boats etc. We have a fairly active regional chapter in Illinois and Wisconsin- the Great Rivers Chapter. Last month we had a shindig in the Northern Highlands Forest near Boulder Lake Wisconsin. It was a good time (and many thanks to the organizers). There will be more announced soon I hope. Maybe we'll see you then.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yeah, maybe I can attend the next regional chapter. I don't have a boat yet but I'm planning to get 1. Got influenced by my grandfather when I visited in Alaska. I rarely stay in Illinois, most of the time travel because of the nature of my work. Maybe I can try canoeing someday when I retire. Thanks again everyone.
