Hi all, I have just purchased a 1946 Old Town HW. I live here in Connecticut and would love to see it restored. I am not sure what direction to go. If I should put in the hands of a pro or attempt to do it myself at the Wooden Boat School in ME if it offers a class on restoration next year. I was able to get information on the boat from Old Town, looks like it was shipped to New Haven, CT and has been in Conn ever since. Love to here your comments Bev in CT

If restoring the boat yourself has crossed your mind, that might be the way to go. You'll get a lot of encouragement here. If you poke through the archives in these forums, you can see what others have done.
