New baby comes home

Rob Stevens

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
My 62 pound bouncing blue canoe came home today after 7 weeks labour.
I built this "goshawk" model canoe at Roger Foster's shop (Carlisle Canoes Co.).
Roger was the builder who led the construction workshop at Assembly. That canoe was auctioned off for $1800. After it was gone, one of my daughters said that Mom said that I should have bought it. It sure would have saved me some money, and some time too, but I wouldn't have had the opportunity to spend long hours at Rogers shop.

Very Pretty Rob. Now get out there arn put some water under that boat.

Nice color. I'd like to paint all my boats that color. Did one so far.

Goshawk

Well done! If you are not already familiar with the goshawk (the raptor), do a little seaching and you will see the resemblance between your boat and the bird. The goshawk is a pretty formidable predator in the Northeast. All the best!
