Where are you moving to in Wyoming? I went there once many years ago. I went to Laramie with my family to visit friends and then we went over to Rawlins. Was there in the winter time on New Year's Eve. They had a freak winter day.... it was a warm day and was 80's out. We went trout fishing (in Rawlins) and caught alot of fish and fried them for dinner that night back at the motel we were staying in. I really loved Wyoming...the open range, the antelope that were everywhere..... and the rugged "Cowboy" scenery. Hope you find some canoe nuts. Best to you and enjoy your time there.
We have three members presently living in Wyoming. A beautiful state, been there several times but not in the last 20 years or so... My family has infamous ties with the state - my great-great uncle was second governor after it became a state, and has path crossed with a notorious horse thief named Big Nose George Parrot. You can read all the sordid details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Eugene_Osborne and here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Nose_George
I still have your bamboo rod dads, let me know when you are resettled and I'll send them back to you.
Where indeed? I am from Laramie, but live in Reno. (there is a BIG difference!) My wife and I get out there for 3 weeks every July. My Dad lives in Laramie, and has 3 w/c canoes, 2 of which I built. Wyoming is home, and I am dying to move back.
