Went to look at a great old morris today #15150 on the brass tag. This is in near perfect condition. Has the curved decks. It's missing the center thwart. Is it possible it had a portage yoke? The seats look mahogany but the thwarts look maybe birch. Hard to tell till we clean it up. Can the serial number give us any info or do we need measurements ? thanks, Dave

The table at http://www.wcha.org/content/bn-morris indicates that your serial number is probably circa 1917. There are no known build records available for Morris so more details are not available. Page 28 of the 1917 Morris catalog showed a portage carry yoke that looked similar to the ones from Old Town. Measurements and the information at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/morris/ may help you identify the model. I agree with Jim that pictures would be good.
