Michigan Chapter Fall Paddle

We are two weeks away from our Fall Paddle on the beautiful Au Sable river in Grayling Michigan. We will be staying at Gates Lodge Sept.28-30. Contact Debbie Darga dmd421@comcast.net for more info.

I don't paddle my hips won't let me sit in a canoe anymore. I will be working in my shop on Friday the 28th, its right accross the river from Gates. Just cross the river first rd is Michelson turn right 6th house on the river side Name Willoughby and 1678 out in front. Right not I am working on a Penn Yan Cartopper and a 1936 Thompson clinker style duck boat. You are welcome to stop over.

Hi Gary, that sounds wonderful. Depending on when we get there we will stop by. Otherwise please join us Friday and Saturday evening. Weather permitting we will gather after dinner at the fire pit at Gates.

What a great day. perfect temperature and sun. peak color for the maple trees. nice lodging and superior meals at Gates. great to see everyone!

Ken and all, Southbound on the interstate yesterday, somewhere north of Flint, I saw a yellow canoe with 'diamonds' loaded on top of a Mercedes, which I believe to be Edie and Jim, but they were moving faster than I so never got to talk with them. Maybe I join you all next year. Tom McCloud
