Manufactured or homemade

thirsty

Does anyone have any thoughts on this canoe. Manufactured, homemade, age, ect? It appears to be a home made project, but could be a restoration? I know just about enough to get myself in trouble.

Hello,

What is the width of the sheer strake on the planking? (The topmost plank, under the gunnels). It looks kind of familiar, but I want to have you check that first.

Mark

Mark,
Thank you for showing an interest in getting this boat to the other side of its identity crisis. The sheer plank runs the entire length of the canoe and is 4 1/2 inches. The rest of the planking is 2 1/2 inches, each tapering uniformly toward the stem. Again, thank you.
Dave
