You may need to verify the numbers in your canoe since I don't believe that they have issued a serial number that high yet. The information at
http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?791 may help if you aren't sure where to look. The scanned Old Town records only go up to 210999 so no one here can tell you much about a canoe with a seven digit serial number.
My guess is that you may have the Old Town canoe with serial number 150178. This is an 18 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Otca model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, and a keel. It was built between January and May, 1948. The original exterior paint color was geranium red. It shipped on June 16th, 1948 to Naples, Maine.
