Lateen Sail

Can someone please post some photos showing a lateen sail rig, pics being worth a thousand words and all. Yes I need to get Todds book but am heading up to Killbear and trying to get this ready to go by then. I saw a repro out of tods book in a post within the last week but can't find it now. Thanks.

This is one of my "Lat-Bats" (essentially just a lateen with a big battened roach added to the back end) but it shows the rigging about as well as anything I have.

Lateen with a reef, kicked up high with a self-vanging, self-tending jib added.

I have drawings of just about all of the various bits and pieces. Is there any part or detail that you're most interested in?

What is this sail?

Here is what I have so far. Took it jup to Killbear last weekend and got some pointers. Does anyone have some close up photos of the rudder mounting, gudgeons and pintles. The boat has outside stems and holes in the stern stem where previous rudder was mounted. this seems like a good way to tear off the stem. anyone have any experience or thoughts on this? Also am looking for gudgeons that will mount on stem. I only have one and it is spread to fit on boat without outside stems. Do you think it can be bent narrower to fit?

The information at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?4107 and picture at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?3855&p=19723#post19723 may help. I have several canoes with gudgeons on outside stems and haven't torn one off yet. Gudgeons can usually be bent back into the correct shape without an issue. Reproductions are available from the Springfield Fan Centerboard Company at (413) 783-5589 if you are patient or http://www.ebay.com/itm/280804291224 if you are in a hurry. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question or if you want more detailed pictures. Your rig is looking good.
