AS some of you know, I recently took the plunge and bought a "Canadian Canoe Company" pre 1960 wood-canvas canoe. It is presently being restored by Graham England of Fergus, Ontario. Pics are here:

Graham will be speaking on how he became involved in this "vocation from another era" at the KW Canoeing Symposium:

For those of you in the KW area:

Hard copy tickets ( as opposed to buying on-line) are now available through Handcrafted Canoes, in Breslau. Just head out Victoria St till you pass over the Grand River...James' shop is on the right hand side as you head towards Guelph.

The hard copy tickets are $12....HST is included.

See you at the Symposium!

I am looking forward to taking part in the KW Canoeing Symposium....especially with a bit of an emphasis on wood canoes and paddles....stripper canoes covered by Handcrafted Canoes....wood canvas canoe restoration by Graham England....paddles by Mike Kipper and Bruce Smith (who is also a great wood canvas canoe builder....and member of the Wooden Canoe Builders Guild)....plus some old guy talking about Tom Thomson's canoe LOL LOL....hope those wood canoe fans in the KW area can make it out....

Are you a "Temagami" tripper? Or are you curious about one of Ontario's premier paddle destinations?

The KW Canoe Symposium is proud to feature two presenters who are focused on the Temagami Region:

Kim Cowan, owner of one of our sponsors, the Misabi Adventure Company, Temagami

www.misabiadventurecompany.ca

and Mike McIntosh, Vice-President of "Friends of Temagami"

http://friendsoftemagami.org/

Both should be great presentations!
