Kingston Boat Show

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Jean & I took three canoes to the Antique boat show in Kingston, NY on Saturday. We talked up the WCHA to the many people who attended and we generally had a good time other than the very hot day, mid 90's. My three boats were the only non-power boats there. I came away with the "Best Preserved" trophy. Total surprise, I was not expecting anything.

Thank you Kathy and Paul. The show was put on by the Hudson River Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society and the Hudson River Maritime Museum. The museum is opening a wooden boat school in a building next door which is supposed to be in operation by the fall. So there will be additional opportunities for WCHA members to get involved in the future. Here is the museum link. Info about the school is on there too if you poke around. http://www.hrmm.org/ Unfortunately for me Kingston is over an hour away so I can't run over there frequently.

Peace,
Jim
