I've got Nubs

Silly me, I must have forgotten my bifocals the day I bought canvas.

I've had 7 or 8 annoying nubs standing up like pimples through my filler. Paint, sand till they fray, then paint again , .... tomorrow or friday they should be gone I hope.

Just for future reference now, does anyone have any magic cures for these things that don't stretch on for days. Finger nail polish, dry ice, wart remover, or ... ?

Did you torch off the nubs before adding your filler?

I torched off the fuzz and stray bits, but these nubs seemed too "embedded" to burn out completely. They were thick spots in the warp of canvas.
