Thank you, Benson. And thanks again for the original link, Craig. That was an interesting read. It struck me as curious that he so often commented on people more than on nature: wanting to help a fellow about to be released from prison, drug dealers and users he encounters, people helping him along the way, fishermen he meets, talking about different ethnicities and their perspectives which he encounters. I put on a river to get away from people (partly anyway) but he's using this as a way to connect the country through people, by way of the rivers. An interesting idea. I wonder how much that changed for him along his journey. Maybe people became more important, more significant, after months alone on the water.
