Hi folks - I'm looking for historical information on my dad's 1966 Old Town Lapstrake (16') boat, serial #176080. Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome, the Old Town with serial number 176080 is a 16 foot four inch long lapstrake 1720 model boat with a deck and a floor rack. It was built between April and June, 1966. The original exterior finish was left clear to show the natural wood. It shipped on July 18th, 1966 to South Thomaston, Maine. A scan of this build record can be found below.
This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
