Gary,

The canoe with the subject SN was shipped on June 9, 1947 to Saltsburg, PA. It was built as an 18' HW (heavy water) in "AA" grade which featured mahogany gunwales, seats, thwarts and decks with planking of western red cedar. The options on the order were a keel, sponsons, floor rack and rub rails. The original color was design #45. A build record is attached.

Gary, if not already a member, please consider joining the WCHA to help support this and other valuable resources offered here. Substantial grants along with volunteer efforts make the WCHA what it is today. If you plan on repairing/restoring this fine old craft, this is the place for the best advice you will ever receive.

Thanks for contacting the WCHA,
