Getting started on a 1/6 scale model - questions

I've finished my form for a 1/6 scale model, and have made my stems and inwales. I'm going to start preparing some ribs and am wondering if anyone has specific recommendations for gap filling superglue? Also, what should I use to canvas the model? Thanks for the help!
