EM White Model 1 canoe. It's 15' long 11" deep and 31" wide. It's a little sweetheart! I have a customer interested in buying one and having me restore it. Not sure of value....
Does anybody know what years White offered this model? Trying also to find out how common this model was.
Any info on this model is appreciated....

The White catalogs in the Historic collection from 1908 to the circa 1952 one list 15 foot long canoes like this. There are no known records to confirm their actual production. White canoes in general are not common and short ones like this are even less so. However, the demand for them also appears to be limited so the market values tend to be similar to the comparable Old Town fifty pound models. Short canoes often sell more quickly than long ones.

The Willow model from the Island Falls Canoe Company as shown at http://www.islandfallscanoe.com/inventory/category/1083 is based on this canoe and sells for $3,864 new. I recently sold a similar restored 15 foot long Old Town fifty pound model from 1914 for $3500 after several years on the market if that helps. There is also some good information at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?57 as you probably know. Good luck,

Benson
