early Morris

I know it depends on many factors but what are the ranges an early Morris (no serial numbers) in need of stems ribs planks could be picked up for?

There are several Morris canoes listed at http://wcha.org/pp-classifieds/showcat.php?cat=3 for comparison. Any old canoe that needs all new stems, ribs, and planking could be a huge restoration project. Good luck,

It is not a Morris. There were a lot of builders that used heart-shaped decks (see http://dragonflycanoe.com/wood-canoe-identification-guide/features-decks/).

More photos will help with the identification.

thanks again here is all I have could it be a chestnut?

That was actually my first thought. If it is a pre-fire (1904-1921) Chestnut, the stem tip will look like that in the attached image.
