Day One - Cedar Strip Restoration

Happy to have found this resource today. I'm starting a restoration of a 16' cedar strip. I purchased this 10 years ago as a retirement project. The great news is I have just retired and brought this into my shop. I'm also very green when it comes to this project. I have wood and metal fabrication skills and most tools.
What I'm listening for is what steps would be recommended. I have begun to document this canoe and assemble resources such as this one. Cleaning is on for the afternoon. I do not have history or manufacture information … yet.
