Custom battery box

Removing center seat on Old Town square stern with sponsons. Building battery box/seat/wine rack . Found some old spruce I planed down. I'll put up finished photos. Just a fun different project for a customer.

Yes, big lake with a lot of square sterns. Electric motors only. Their all big fisherman there.

Finished. Large enough for battery, fishing gear and wine bottles. Also added 40 lbs to the boat. 3 screws inside on each side into the seat risers. So it's easily removable. So I guess it's basically a Wanigan?

David, did you attach it to the ribs? Looks really nice.

No , it actually doesn't touch the ribs. There's a small support block under the center though.
