In Saginaw a canoe with outwales that extend beyond the stems like very early Old Towns, Detroits and EM Whites. Looks cool and cheap at $125

Did anyone here get this model canoe? I understand that it sold to a floor bidder for $2700 (+10%). It will probably turn up again soon if a dealer got it. It would have only cost me about $500 to fly down for the day on JetBlue and now I wish that I had gone. The lack of a serial number and small deck decal indicates that it was probably from the 1940s or 1950s. Does anyone know anything more?
