Too bad the seller doesn't give enough information to make an informed decision. Says it is a 1911 Old Town 17', and not much more. Anyone know anything about this canoe? Tom McCloud

I asked the seller for the serial number and he responded saying "Ser#46577 I was told by Old Town that it was built in 1911 and delivered to Washington, DC." Two pictures and a copy of the build record are attached below. I responded with a copy of the build record and asked if he objected to having the pictures posted here. It appears to have been repaired with seats and decks that are a much newer style than the rest of the canoe.
