While not an exceptionally difficult project; it did require planking repairs, seats both dismantled and re-glued and caned, varnish, canvas, etc. The final color is my interpretation of Chestnut Grey. The one task that I anticipated as an easy, finishing touch, was the installation of the original stem bands. I had some difficulty in drawing the bands tightly to the canvas, especially in the greatest curvature below the top of the stems. I assume the brass is hardened and difficult to pull tight with the small stem screws. I may have to re-visit this detail; possibly with new stem bands and screws at closer intervals than the original spacing...
