LOVES Wooden Canoes
Hi Paddlers, I'm getting ready to plan our Chautauqua outing September 6-8. As you know, this isn't a campout: we base camp at Chautauqua Lake and shuttle our boats to more canoe-friendly locations in the area.
Folks are asking about what kind of reservations to make. In the past we've rented AirBnB type accommodations individually around the towns of Stow and Bemus Point, and that's worked out great. This year, I've identified an on-the-lake-ish camp with cabins and motel-style accommodations that would allow us to stay in one place.
Tradeoff: it's not as comfy as the homes we've rented. It's a fishing camp that hosts bass tournaments, etc. It has lake access and space for fire pits and units with kitchens. Pets aren't allowed.

There's one other hitch: they're booked the weekend of our outing. If we wanted to do this, we'd need to move the paddle to the following weekend or mid week.
I'm not hard-selling this option: if it ain't broke, let's not fix it!
Please post your feedback here on this thread or contact me directly and let me know.
Thanks!
Brad
