Cedar Strip Canoe 17 feet - Serial # 67581

Hello,

We are trying to settle an estate and would like to know if it is worth selling this canoe at the auction or just scrap it. It is missing several ribs and 8 -10 cedar strips are broken.

Can anyone help identify this canoe, which is believed to be Old Town and stamped with serial number in both the stern and bow shown as 67581 - 17?

It might be an Old Town, and someone will probably post the Old Town build record from the serial number. But even if the length matches, it could be from another maker. Photos will help, plus they would be required for any estimate of value based upon condition.
