Old Town 26701 is a 25 foot CS grade ("common sense") war canoe built during May of 1913. It has red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, and birch seat frames, decks, and thwarts. It was painted dark green and shipped to Camp Beckett in Beckett, Massachusetts on June 5, 1913.
Old Town 94957 is another 25 foot, CS grade war canoe with red Western cedar planking. It has open spruce gunwales, arched decks, and birch seat frames and thwarts. The canoe was painted red and sent to Balden Sporting Goods in Pittsfield, MA on May 21, 1928.
Scans of these records are posted below. They sound like cool old war canoes... a neat find!
