LOVES Wooden Canoes
We are selling tickets for an opportunity to win an old fully restored Basil Smith/Jocko Carle birch bark canoe.
This is an authentic 13' bark canoe built by 2 of the best builders from Maniwaki Quebec, Jocko Carle, Basil Smith. Built from a single piece of bark....in amazing shape....mostly just needs some new lashing and new pitch....and will be ready for water again. This canoe is 45 to 50 years old.
It will be fully restored, ready for use on the water.
This is a very significant canoe, worthy of any serious collector.
The proceeds would go directly to funding the future First Nation community canoe builds, including the Wahnapitae First Nation (FN) community canoe build and those at other FN communities. This will include not only building costs but for the Anishinaabemowin immersion.
Tickets are $100 and only 100 will be available....so each ticket gives a 'one in 100' chance in winning the canoe. Once all 100 tickets are sold we will draw for the canoe.
Payments can be made by e-transfer to bildcanoe@gmail.com.
OR can be made through PayPal (even with credit cards). Mark as funds for Friends and Family to make deposit of funds easier.
PM for more details. AND also PM once payment is made so can give you ticket(s) for canoe.
Tickets are numbered 1 to 100....as each payment is received a random number will be assigned....and the name entered on the page shown with spaces from 1 to 100.
