Bedding compound and canvas filler

I just finished canvasing my 1941 OT HW and in completing the stems, some bedding compound got on the canvas along the stems. Not much but enough to show. My concern was will the bedding compound react in any way to the canvas filler such as dry time, hardness ability to take paint etc. This is my first restore so I want to make as few mistakes as possible ( I know there will be some)! The filler and compound are from Northwoods.

good question. I wipe off any excess, or boo boos and haven't had any problems that I know of.
