There are no known records for BN Morris canoes. There are a couple of working theories on dating based on serial number though. I expect Kathy Klos, our resident Morris expert, will be along soon with more extensive comments.

9833 possibly dates to 1912-ish. There is a Morris at Mystic Seaport, numbered 9023, with paperwork stating it was shipped May 15, 1912. Your canoe should have a heart-shaped deck, mahogany trim, and if it has a decal, it would be the one that does NOT have the word "motor" on it. Please provide more details re your Morris so I can plug them into the database... length, unusual features such as open wales, where the serial number plate is located, presence of decal remains &c.
