Another Mystery Canoe

Anyone have any thoughts on this canoe? The owner says its from the 30's but cannot find any serial numbers on it.

Hard to tell by these photos, but the thwart and possibly the deck suggest Thompson to me. Check for a metal strap under the decks. Thompson usually has a solid wood block between the bow seat and inwale, in lieu of dowels, but this canoe has a mast seat, without the blocks. Most mast seats that I have seen are bolted directly to the inwales, such as the one in this photo.
