ACA Collections in Cooperstown

I plan to visit the NYS Historical Association to spend some time with their ACA artifacts. The catalog listing is fairly explicit, but I'm curious if anyone has done research with it recently and could offer some hints. I'm guessing a day or two to go through it all in any level of detail.

I'm interested primarily in the period from about 1880-1905, the period when Nathaniel Bishop (my subject) would have been active in the ACA.

They have 6 cu ft. (!) of stuff in addition to several yearbooks (1887-89) and a photo pamphlet by Seneca Ray Stoddard from this period.

Any general advice appreciated.
