A Rainy Day Fall Paddle

dboles

LOVES Wooden Canoes
I had another fall paddle this time in the rain, not many paddling days left before winter.Headed for a flat on the lake that I know of.Set up the tarp to get out of the rain and decided on a fire in the rain soaked woods.Nothing like soup to chase away the damp.
When crossing the lake the rain let up to the north of me and a little sunlight sparked up this rainbow.
On another paddle around 5 weeks ago my wife Cheryl and I had found a drowned Black Bear washed up in a cove on a shore with some drift wood.Decided to go and see what had become of it Not much left as the wolves had found it.One had left a calling card.

Hey Dan, I dont like the looks of that mountain, the snow is getting awfully close. Please see what you can do about keeping it in Revelstoke for the next 4 months. I can do without it.
