Has anyone seen attachments like these on Peterborough all-wood canoes?
The first photo shows the cleats for a swiveling seat. Those are found on the Dart/Comet/Ace models. But what about the smaller cleat underneath? I can't be sure but they appear to be factory-made in that the mahogany matches the rest of the canoe's trim.
The second photo shows a piece of wood attached at the sheer of the canoe. Again, they appear to have been made in the factory. There's one on each side, and their surfaces are in the same plane, meaning that their upper surfaces lie in the same plane, unlike the upper surfaces of the gunwales.
Thanks for any input.
