86 Old Town

Hi all!

I have purchased an Old town canoe, and I am trying to identify the model and materials. The serial reads:

XTC73994C686

I know that this means Old Town, and March ‘86, but cannot find any other info.

Any help?

The scanned catalogs at http://www.wcha.org/store/complete-old-town-canoe-company-catalog-collection includes a full set from the 1980s so you may be able to identify the model with that information. The other option is to post some pictures and dimensions here and let us guess. Sorry,
