Curious about Wooden Canoes
The DCC has 3 vintage war boats in seaworthy condition.

Would love to see the build sheets.
Thanks

Richard,

I have attached five scans below. The first, for #44025, is a bit crinkled. The scanner completely crinkled the following build record, but this one shows enough to be useful. It was built in 1916-17 and shipped to Dayton, Ohio.

The other two build records had repair notes as following build records. Those were usually printed on the back of the original build record, but the identifying connection is not always clear. In these cases, the repair records indicate that the canoes were originally shipped to Dayton. The repair orders, however, indicate addresses in New York and New Jersey.

Let me know if I can provide anything else.

Norm

Hi Norm,

You have the back of the cards associated with the wrong records - the last one (with the name painted "Baby Buzz") goes with the boat one serial number higher (and one scan id lower), which happens to be a Baby Buzz model...

Dan,

Thanks. You are exactly correct. I've attached the two repair records associated with those canoes. Both came from the Dayton Canoe Club in 1976.
