I have this old 1983 louis Picard made huron 16ft canoe. It has always been there and has served us well over the years. It seems solid other than one split gunwale. Sadly I am no longer able to carry it out and must depart with it. I am wondering if anyone knew how much this should sell for or if anyone here would like to give it a good home. It is located on the south shore of Montreal in Quebec. It is very dirty in the pics but wipes clean. The hull was wet when pictured, it is not clear coated, just freshly hosed down.Thanks for any info.

It is my observation that prices for wooden canoes have dropped the last couple of years. Here on Long Island there are usable boats begging for buyers at well under $1000. In nearby states I see boats in "as new" condition for under $2000.
When I price something to sell, I search nearby classifieds and undercut the lowest priced similar item. Good luck to you and the next owner.

Apparently it is not just wood and canvas canoes that are experiencing lower prices. I see it on Craigslist, and the Paddling.com newsletter of 6/19 had a story about lower kayak prices which elicited lots of comments, all confirming lower prices. One possible explanation is a drop in outdoor activity in the aftermath of Covid.
