1957 wooden boat

Hi I have a 1957 wooden boat serial stamped inside hull is
12-d. D00. 38 please help identify

This does not appear to be a standard serial number format. Can you supply pictures of the serial numbers and the interior of the boat including the bow deck? Some dimensions could also help. There were a large number of wooden boat makers in 1957.

It's just under 14 ft long I dont know if it's a mohawk the trailer is a mohawk

It will take more than a serial number and a length to identify this boat. There also appears to be a 23 in the middle of the serial number. The list at https://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification.php includes six Mohawk boat builders.
