1941 Yankee restored

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Just completed a 16' 1941 Yankee, serial # 131955-16. I got this back in December at the same time I picked up the Molitor I posted about a few days ago. Keen eyes will note the removable seat backs. I've made these for several canoes over the years. I've got a buyer for the canoe lined up who was interested in having them.

Keen eyes will also note that my grass needs cutting. Can't cut grass and work on canoes at the same time. Decision made.

I don't see any grass that is even close to needing cutting.

If you are needing a break from canoe work, go fishing and use them.

Can you post your seat design?
Thanks John! Glad you like the seats - I assume you're referring to the seat backs. I've done 4 types over the years. Here's my design notes for 3 of 'em. I've found that the key is that the back must not rise too high as it'll get in the way of paddling. So whichever of the 3 below

I believe I liked this version the best. Not sure which of the above drawings it is - maybe the last one.

I had several ways of attaching the back to the seat - all based on the same theme. Here's what I did on the last one (it's a bit light weight than the others). The seat back attaches via a 1/4-20 hanger bolt.
