after 45 min shaping each mast tube ring from ash, starting a screw crooked produced a faint "crick" sound anouncing one had cracked. Luckily the second one broke while drilling pilot holes. 'nother coat of varnish on the boat and call it a nite. Will be done by end of June if I have to forego sleep.
