Does anyone have Sawyer serial number list?

I couldn't resist a nice 1986 15' Sawyer canoe. Nice hard shell, gel coat and very nice lines. I am looking for identification for serial number SAW05399H686. I found a website that claimed to have a downloadable zip file, but it wouldn't open. I also went through iBoats entire list of Sawyer canoes to no avail. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am not aware of any available serial number information for Sawyer. The link at https://dataentrancement972.weebly.com/blog/sawyer-canoe-serial-numbers appears to be a scam or worse. The information at https://www.usps.org/national/safety/HIN/HIN.pdf and https://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification-detail.php?id=11450 indicates that your canoe was probably made by Sawyer Canoe in March of 1986 for the 1986 model year. Please let me know if you find that any more details are available,

There is some general information about Sawyer here:
Sawyer made, How many canoes? - Advice - Paddling.com
It does kind of have a similar stem profile to the Yankee Rebel models, but I think every one of them that I saw was 16' and bright yellow. This one is more likely from the main Sawyer line. Harry Roberts, who was the Sawyer sales manager at the time this boat was built was a great guy who did an awful lot of promotion for the sport of canoeing, especially when he was in the sporting magazine business. My favorite quote from Harry was "There is a certain magic in any canoe, but a wooden canoe is all magic." Unfortunaely, he died early and suddenly and the sport lost one of it's best ambassadors.

Thanks for some info Todd. I had looked at the paddling.com info, and opened every model. None were 15' tandems, with tractor seats. Interestingly, and irritating, there aren't any wording on the outside of the canoe, and it appears that the Hull ID was removed. I am considering replacing the forward seat with a caned seat in order to solo it. And...... that is a great quote. I tell people that nothing beats sitting in a canoe surrounded by nature, but in a wooden canoe you feel much more part of nature. But I think Harry's quote is much more succinct. I will be using it. Thanks again.

Update. Well, don't believe everything people tell you. I bought this canoe in the pouring rain and it was advertised as a 15' canoe. Today, after the rain stopped, I went out and measured it. I measured it to be 15' 10 1/2" (15.875'). Return to iBoats list of 1986 Sawyer Canoes, 1986 Sawyer Canoes Canoe Models by Year and Category (iboats.com) , and found the oddly named 'Canoe 190 Cruiser' to be listed as 15.83'. http://boatspecs.iboats.com/Sawyer_Canoes__Cruiser__1986/bp/66b122703 That's close enough for me. Btw, 36" beam, 12" deep in center, and a dainty 60#.
