Recently inherited by a friend, and the paperwork hasn't been found.

What can be told by the serial number?

The chart at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/oldtown_chart.html indicates that it was probably built around 1993. They stopped keeping paper records in 1994 and everyone here only has access to the scanned records that stop around 1983 so there isn't much more that we can offer. It should have a hull identification number on the starboard stern that begins with XTC. The information at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm describes how to get a date from those numbers. Sorry,

I'm still looking for a little help in maybe the model type.
