Wooden canoe in Newburgh, NY

Old_Paddler

Canoe nut
I checked this out and passed on it.

It's 15' 2" long @39.5" wide @13 inches deep.
Needs inwales, outwales, decks and normal repairs - it's fiberglassed...

It has Old Town bolts, the remains of a Carleton deck and no SN - looks like both stems were replaced at some time.

Anyone know what it is?

Oar locks are interesting.

My guess would be home made, or so completely repaired that you could never identify the original builder. The planking pattern isn't obvious but it doesn't appear to be the Old Town style. Many home and small builders used Old Town seats and diamond headed bolts. This is likely to remain a UFO.
