Canoe Nut
Hi,
I have owned this canoe for years and just stripped it about a month ago.
I just pulled it in to the shop to do a bit more stripping of some stubborn parts and for the first time noticed some stamped number on the thwart at the block. The numbers are only one this one thwart in the one spot.
I believe the canoe to be an English Model 20 racing canoe. There appear to be three sets of 2 digit numbers.
The first is 20 then 50 and less visible it read as 53.
Does anyone else have a Wm. English with numbers anywhere on the canoe or on the thwart?
I would think the 20 is the model number, but what about the others?
Thanks,
Paul
