Why is it so hard to re-up / pay on this web site?

Again I talked myself into re-up'ing, and again it was a struggle to use the system to pay the fee.

This should be as easy as pushing a few "buttons" but no, it's a lesson in persistance, patience and determination in order to process the payment.

note - I never write checks these days and pay everything electrically and on-line.

I managed it a few months ago which means it can't be that difficult . . . . .or was so stressful that my brain is refusing to remember.

I can't remember which!!

I just walked through the process myself, just now, and it was very easy and straightforward. Went to the store, selected membership category, entered info, chose payment method, and that was it. Super simple. Not sure what the problem is but if it were spelled out perhaps it could be addressed. I needed no persistence, patience or determination, only the ability to click and spell.

1st - I couldn't just do an e-check payment, (which is my preferred method)
then, to enter my cc/dc, I had to fill in all the blanks by hand instead of there being an auto fill feature (like most other sites), and (again IIRC) the address had to be filled in twice, once for the card and again for the mailing address.

and IIRC, it prefered(?) that I be a registered user to make a payment - I almost never do this, prefering to pay as a guest.

IMO this whole operation should just take seconds, not the several minutes it took me to make the payment.

I just mailed a check to renew my membership.
But the catch is, I had to deposit the envelope in a USPS dropbox a few blocks away, because outgoing mail has been stolen from my mailbox on the street in front of my house!
If it's not the mailbox thefts, then it's the internet scams!
