Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
... of the rib-less wood canoe that was made from plywood or laminated wood that was featured in the Wooden Canoe magazine a while back? As I recall the wood sections were thin, maybe 6" wide, and were warped on a 45deg bias to form the sides of the canoe, plus the edges were tongue-n-groove so that the wood slats meshed together. And I remember they were a bitch to assemble!
I'm asking because a fella has emailed pics of his 'plywood' canoes and I'm thinking this is what he's got.
