The Old Town canoe with serial number 127492 is an 18 foot long, GS grade, Guide's model with open spruce gunwales a keel. It was built between April, 1939 and January, 1940. The original exterior paint color was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It was shipped on March 5th, 1940 to Tampa, Florida. If this is the 16 foot canoe that you asked about previously then it may be number 124492 which is a 16 foot long, CS grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with open spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch trim, a keel. It was built between February, 1938 and April, 1939. The original exterior paint color was dark red. It was shipped on April 26th, 1939 to Amsterdam, New York. You may want to verify the width of your canoe since the HW model was originally 33 inches wide and your first posting indicated a Yankee model that is 36 inches wide. There are not many other clues to indicate the approximate age of your canoe.
