Source for White Cedar - U.P. Michigan

I'm seeking a source for white ceder lumber for my wood canvas canoe build. Hoping to find a mill or seller familiar with the needs of a canoe builder. I'm located in the eastern UP but willing to drive to any location in MN, WI or MI to obtain an adequate supply of clear lumber.

I'm aware of both of those suppliers via Google...both are on my list to call. Are you able to give a personal recomendation for one over the other?

Craigslist is another place to look for cedar.
I can’t give a recommendation. I pulled those off the web.
I do know from traveling across da UP that there is lots of white cedar growing there. I’ve seen places along route 2 and 28 that sold it. Also check with local saw mills.

I got mine from Mio in the northern lower peninsula. It may be within your reach. Even tho it's rated as clear there are still boards that need sorting out. I got about 1100 bd ft. I dont' have the number close at hand, your best bet may be UP. I did get some from a sawyer in M;quette with Denis Kallery years ago it was ok.
