serial number search request

The Old Town canoe with serial number 111898 is a 17 foot long, AA (or top) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, and a keel. It was built between January, 1933 and February, 1934. The original exterior paint was dark green. It shipped on March 16th, 1934 to Brooklyn, New York. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. The canoe was built in 1933-34, being finished on February 23, 1934. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped to the Abraham and Strauss department store in downtown Brooklyn, New York on March 16, 1934. The Old Town canoe with serial number 111989 is a 17 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, oak decks, oak thwarts, oak seats, a keel, and bow eyes. It was built between January and March, 1933. The original exterior paint color was medium red. It shipped on March 20th, 1933 to New York City.
