The Old Town canoe with serial number 89548 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, oak decks, oak thwarts, oak seats, and a keel. It was built between October, 1926 and March, 1927. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on April 6th, 1927 to Duluth, Minnesota. A scan of this build record can be found below.
